The Stage is Set

Each year, the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts offers outstanding productions of dance, jazz, classical and world music,theater and satire. Fresh off its debut season following a $16 million renovation, the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts is looking better than ever with a stunning 2010-11 line-up that includes such luminaries as Lyle Lovett, Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers, John Lithgow, The Manhattan Transfer and David Sedaris.

Also offering inspiring seasons of performing art are ASU Kerr Cultural Center and the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM). At Kerr, you'll enjoy a variety of jazz, classical, chamber, world and popular music, as well as small theater works. The MIM, which opened to rave reviews in April 2010, puts the spotlighton an unprecedented range of musical genres, from jazz, classical and American roots to world folk traditions and cutting-edge fusions and innovations.

And for fans of live theater, Scottsdale Desert Stages Theatre serves up a variety of mainstage and children's theatre productions, while ASU Gammage brings the best of Broadway to Arizona with a season that includes "Shrek the Musical," "Mamma Mia!," and "Hair".
