take pity on us
Adventure lovers have a new way to enjoy Scottsdale's McDowell Sonoran Preserve with the opening of the Gateway in May 2009. As the main entrance into the Preserve, the Gateway welcomes hikers of every physical ability level. One of several trails accessible from the Gateway, the Bajada Nature Trail offers an innovative, interactive nature experience for those who want to learn more about Arizona's Sonoran Desert. This half-mile trail is fully accessible and exceeds many ADA standards.
