Annually sporting the largest crowds on the PGA TOUR, the Waste Management Phoenix Open (formerly the FBR Open) has gained legendary status on TOUR for being unlike any other golf tournament. Yes, the TOUR stop is different from all the rest, but what makes it so? It starts with the unbelievable golf played by the likes of Rickie Fowler, Mark Wilson, Aaron Baddeley, Phil Mickelson and Vijay Singh on the beautiful TPC Scottsdale and ends with the biggest galleries on TOUR.
Scottsdale also offers other wonderful events around the area.
Native Trails January 19 - April 14, 2012 Most Thursdays & Saturdays, 12:00pm - 1:30pm Scottsdale Civic Center Mall Every January through April the outdoor amphitheater at the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall, just north of the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, comes alive with Native American music, dance, art and traditional foods. We invite you to come along on this sensory journey to the first nations of Arizona and North America.
Arizona Sun Circuit January 28 – March 5, 2012 Scottsdale Rd & Mayo Blvd., in the big white tents Watch 1,500 of the country's best quarter horses compete for $200,000 in prizes. Horse and riders from around the world ride in five rings over eight days.
22nd Annual Heard Museum World Champion Hoop Dance Contest February 4 - 5, 2012 Experience the fast-paced precision and grace of hoop dancing at the World Championship Hoop Dance Contest. More than 70 of the top Native hoop dancers from the United States and Canada compete for cash prizes and the World Champion title. Visitors can enjoy dance performances as well as delicious fry bread and other American Indian foods. Admission (includes the event and museum).
Sunday A'Fair Sunday A’Fair is a free afternoon mini-festival that features concerts and performances by the Valley’s top entertainers, a diverse selection of arts and crafts available for sale, hands-on activities for children and families and free docent-guided tours of the sculptures on the Scottsdale Civic Center.

From the WEST, public parking is at Loop 101 and Hayden Road. We recommend that eastbound Loop 101 drivers exit at Hayden, and drive south into the parking lot. From the EAST, parking is at WestWorld. We recommend that drivers exit Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd., drive north to Bell Road, turn east to 94th street, and south into the parking lot entrance.
The FREE shuttles will operate Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm; Wednesday through Saturday from 6:30 am to 11:00 pm; and Sunday from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm.
