American Trails promotes the development and maintenance of trails and their importance in connecting people and providing recreational opportunities for all.

Symposium sponsorships are available ranging from $25 to $30,000. American Trails Magazine is published three times annually. Upcoming advertising deadlines are: July 15, 2012 (Summer 2012 issue); Oct. 15, 2012 (Fall 2012 issue); and Feb. 15, 2013 (Spring 2013 issue – all attendees at Symposium (700+) will receive a copy of this issue in their attendee bags). Plan now to submit your nomination for the American Trails National Trails Awards which will be presented at the 2013 International Trails Symposium in Arizona. The National Trails Awards program is one way American Trails recognizes the exemplary people across America who are working to create a national system of trails to meet the recreation, health, and travel needs of all Americans. We have 17 award categories, including a Trail Worker and Trail Advocate award winner in every state. And a new category this year will be our International Trails Award.
