What's it like to experience a 100 mph baseball whiz by your field of vision? Find out at the inaugural Spring Training Festival™, February 25 - 26, 2012 at Scottsdale Civic Center Park. Festival highlights include a display of spring-training memorabilia dating to the 1950s, interactive baseball activities, the debut of a Cactus League film and talks on the science of baseball. This FREE event also features music, food, art and merchandise:
- Cactus League Teams: Representatives from Cactus League teams will be on hand with schedules and information about the upcoming season. Former players will also be available for autograph signings.
- Music: Live performances from Ray Herndon & Laura Walsh; Dennis Rowland; Nineball; Chuck Hall Band and Powerdrive
- Baseball Food Fair : The hottest valley restaurants create their twist on America’s favorite baseball stadium food fare. Food & beverage tickets are $2 each.
- Entertainment: Mad Science of Baseball – an interactive exploratorium with more than just the science of the bat and the ball
- Exhibit: Play Ball, the Cactus League Experience - dedicated to the people, places and teams that played a role in Arizona’s rich cactus league history

FREE ADMISSION The Spring Training Festival is staged by the Scottsdale Charros with participation from Major League Baseball, Play Ball! The Cactus League Experience, Arizona SciTech Festival, City of Scottsdale, Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and the Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau.
